Property Photography

Overview

Showcase your new listing in its full glory, with multiple photos! Listings on REALTOR.com with six photos are viewed almost 300% more often than those without photos (according to Media Metrix). Take advantage of this and the fact that 83% of home buyers say photos and detailed property descriptions are the most useful features when searching for homes online (according to a 2005 National Association of REALTORS® Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers).

The internet is now a widely used tool by home buyers, with 77% of all home buyers using the internet at some point in their search for a home (according to Media Metrix). Including high quality, properly exposed and framed images of your new listing, is essential to real estate marketing.

Techniques

I use a combination of photography methods to ensure high quality photos are taken. To avoid blurry images in low light, a tripod and proper shutter speed settings are used. To avoid an over- or under-exposed image, a tripod and proper exposure settings are used.

Another exciting technique I use called High Dynamic Range (HDR), allows me to do things that are virtually impossible with a single aperture and shutter speed. By taking multiple photos at once, all at different exposures, then combining them with software on a computer and adjusting for the ideal exposure, I can create an image that is vivid and close to what your actual eye sees. No more over exposed or blown out interior shots. Simply put: beautiful shots which catch your eye (and a buyer’s).

Price

So how much does it cost? For $75, I’ll shoot photography of your home provided it is in Santa Cruz County (prices vary for out of town photo shoots). I use a high quality Digital Rebel Canon camera. I will provide you with the original, high resolution images for use in all your real estate marketing materials. I will also provide those same images in low resolution, web format (72dpi). All photos are stored on CD-ROM. Other storage devices can be used if provided by the buyer (ie: USB drive).*
