This is my story!
I just turned 27 years old. I’ve lived in Santa Cruz most of my life with my parents. I have an older sister who is married with two children and a half brother.
My parents are divorced but fortunately found love again and they are both re married to two amazing people. My step parents are great, I couldn’t ask for more. I get a long with my parents very well and have grown to be very open with them. They have taught me so much and I admire them both for always putting us (their children) first. I never really was the “smart” kid in school growing up. I had a hard time and feel that I was forced to grow up faster than most. Fortunately, that structured lifestyle made me who I am today; a better mother and wife. With all that said, I guess you can say that I lost myself over the years but thankfully not only have I found myself once again I have found my true passion in life.
I now live in Watsonville and besides the obvious; being happily married with two children I am learning how to balance all this beauty while starting a new career in Massage Therapy.
I recently graduated from Twin Lakes College of the Healing Arts and became a certified massage practitioner. It has been life changing and has made me so much more aware of my own body, mind and spirit. It has made me a better person and I am very grateful to be centered with a purpose in life that can reflect on both my family and friends.
Life has new meaning; and besides my children, this is what I’ve always wanted but never knew it until now. I am proud of myself for not giving up, like usual and for accomplishing so much in such a short amount of time. I am comfortable with who I am inside and out for the very first time and that to me is a miracle. Fortunately I am not perfect and do have my ups and downs like every other human being but I am stronger now and I’m able to look on the bright side of things and not dwell on the bad. I love penguins too (just had to throw that one in there)!
I feel blessed every day. I am rich with love that comes from within but most importantly, I am rich with love that comes from my family. With out this I would not be where I am today.
